தமிழ் சினிமாவில் பாப்புலர் ஹீரோக்களில் ஒருவராக வலம் வருபவர் கெளதம் கார்த்திக். இவர் நடிப்பில் உருவாகியுள்ள புதிய படம் ‘ஆகஸ்ட் 16, 1947’. இந்த படம் இன்று (ஏப்ரல் 7-ஆம் தேதி) திரையரங்குகளில் ரிலீஸாகியுள்ளது.
இந்த படத்தை அறிமுக இயக்குநர் என்.எஸ்.பொன்குமார் இயக்கியுள்ளார். இதில் கௌதம் கார்த்திக்கு ஜோடியாக ரேவதி ஷர்மா நடித்துள்ளார். மேலும், மிக முக்கிய ரோல்களில் ‘குக் வித் கோமாளி’ புகழ், ரிச்சர்ட் ஆஷ்டன், ஜேசன் ஷா மற்றும் பலர் நடித்துள்ளனர்.
இதற்கு ஷான் ரோல்டன் இசையமைத்துள்ளார். இதனை டாப் இயக்குநர்களில் ஒருவரான ஏ.ஆர்.முருகதாஸ் தனது ‘ARM புரொடக்ஷன்ஸ்’ மூலமாக தயாரித்துள்ளார்.
