தமிழ் சினிமாவில் பாப்புலர் நடிகர்களில் ஒருவராக வலம் வருபவர் மணிகண்டன். இவர் ‘காதலும் கடந்து போகும், 8 தோட்டாக்கள், விக்ரம் வேதா, காலா, சில்லுக்கருப்பட்டி, ஏலே, நெற்றிக்கண், ஜெய் பீம், சில நேரங்களில் சில மனிதர்கள்’ ஆகிய படங்களில் நடித்து ரசிகர்களிடம் அப்ளாஸ் வாங்கியிருக்கிறார். மணிகண்டன் ஹீரோவாக நடித்த ‘குட் நைட்’ என்ற படம் கடந்த ஆண்டு (2023) ரிலீஸாகி சூப்பர் ஹிட்டானது.
இந்நிலையில், இன்று (பிப்ரவரி 9-ஆம் தேதி) மணிகண்டன் கதையின் நாயகனாக நடித்திருக்கும் புதிய படமான ‘லவ்வர்’ திரையரங்குகளில் ரிலீஸாகியுள்ளது. இந்த படத்தை அறிமுக இயக்குநர் பிரபுராம் வியாஸ் இயக்கியுள்ளார்.
இதில் மணிகண்டனுக்கு ஜோடியாக ஸ்ரீ கௌரி ப்ரியா நடித்துள்ளார். மேலும், மிக முக்கிய ரோல்களில் கண்ணா ரவி, சரவணன், கீதா கைலாசம், ஹரிஷ் குமார், நிகிலா ஷங்கர் மற்றும் பலர் நடித்துள்ளனர்.
இதற்கு ஷான் ரோல்டன் இசையமைத்துள்ளார், ஸ்ரேயாஸ் கிருஷ்ணா ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்துள்ளார். தற்போது, இந்த படத்தை திரையரங்குகளில் பார்த்த ரசிகர்கள், படம் நன்றாக இருந்ததா? இல்லையா? என தங்களது ட்விட்டர் பக்கத்தில் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.

OMG the sheer awkwardness I felt in a cinema hall was while watching #lover 2nd half..
The reason behind that awkwardness is it just shows the real stuff that goes between a couple
