தமிழ் சினிமாவில் மட்டுமின்றி இந்திய திரையுலகமே வியந்து பார்க்கும் அளவுக்கு பல சாதனைகள் செய்து மக்கள் மனதிலும் எப்பவும் சூப்பர் ஸ்டாராக வலம் வரும் ஒரே நடிகர் ரஜினிகாந்த் தான். ரஜினியின் 169-வது படமான ‘ஜெயிலர்’-ஐ பாப்புலர் இயக்குநர்களில் ஒருவரான நெல்சன் இயக்குகிறார்.
இதன் ஷூட்டிங் பரபரப்பாக நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து ரஜினி நடிப்பில் இயக்குநர் சிபி சக்கரவர்த்தி படமும், இயக்குநர் ஐஸ்வர்யாவின் ‘லால் சலாம்’ படமும் லைன் அப்பில் இருக்கிறது.
ரஜினியின் கேரியரில் மிக முக்கியமான படம் ‘பாபா’. ரஜினியே கதை-திரைக்கதை எழுதி தயாரித்திருந்த இந்த படத்தை பாப்புலர் இயக்குநர்களில் ஒருவரான சுரேஷ் கிருஷ்ணா இயக்கியிருந்தார். இதில் ஹீரோயினாக மனிஷா கொய்ராலா நடித்திருந்தார். இந்த படம் ரிலீஸானபோது ரசிகர்கள் எதிர்பார்த்த அளவுக்கு இல்லாததால் ஃப்ளாப்பானது.
இப்படத்தை இன்று (டிசம்பர் 10-ஆம் தேதி) திரையரங்குகளில் ரீ-ரிலீஸ் செய்துள்ளனர். இந்த வெர்ஷனில் படத்தின் நீளம் குறைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும், க்ளைமேக்ஸ் மாற்றப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும் சொல்லப்படுகிறது. தற்போது, இவ்வெர்ஷனை திரையரங்குகளில் பார்த்த ரசிகர்கள், படம் குறித்து தங்களது ட்விட்டர் பக்கத்தில் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
