தமிழ் திரையுலகில் பிரபல பின்னணி பாடகராக வலம் வருபவர் எஸ்.பி.பாலசுப்ரமணியம். இவர் இதுவரை 16 இந்திய மொழிகளில் 40000 பாடல்களுக்கு மேல் பாடியுள்ளார். ஆறு முறை சிறந்த பின்னணி பாடகருக்கான தேசிய விருதை பெற்றுள்ளார். இவர் ‘கேளடி கண்மணி, திருடா திருடா, காதலன், நாணயம்’ போன்ற பல படங்களில் நடிகராகவும் வலம் வந்திருக்கிறார். சமீபத்தில், ‘கொரோனா’வால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட எஸ்.பி.பாலசுப்ரமணியம் மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டார்.
கடந்த ஆகஸ்ட் 20-ஆம் தேதி மாலை 6 மணி முதல் 6.05 வரை பாடகர் எஸ்.பி.பி-யின் உடல் நிலை சீக்கிரமாக குணமாக திரையுலகினரும், இசை விரும்பிகளும் இணைந்து கூட்டுப் பிரார்த்தனை செய்தனர். அவரவர் இடத்திலிருந்து எஸ்.பி.பி-யின் பாடலை ஒலிக்க விட்டு இந்தப் பிரார்த்தனையை செய்தனர். இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து கடந்த செப்டம்பர் 7-ஆம் தேதி SPB-க்கு ‘கொரோனா’ டெஸ்ட் எடுத்து பார்த்ததில் நெகட்டிவ் என்று வந்ததாக இவரின் மகன் சரணே ட்விட்டரில் வெளியிட்ட வீடியோ மூலம் உறுதிபடுத்தினார்.
நேற்று (செப்டம்பர் 24-ஆம் தேதி) மாலை SPB அட்மிட் ஆகியிருக்கும் மருத்துவமனையில் இருந்து வெளியிட்ட அறிக்கையில் “எங்களது மருத்துவமனையில் சிகிச்சை பெற்று வரும் திரு. எஸ்.பி.பாலசுப்ரமணியமின் உடல்நிலை கவலைக்கிடமாக உள்ளது. எங்களது சிறப்பு மருத்துவ குழுவினர் தொடர்ந்து சிகிச்சை அளித்து கண்காணித்து வருகின்றனர்” என்று கூறப்பட்டது. இந்நிலையில், இன்று மதியம் 1:04 PM-க்கு சிகிச்சை பலனின்றி SPB இயற்கை எய்தினார் என்று தகவல் கிடைத்தது. இவரது மறைவுக்கு திரையுலகினர் அனைவரும் சமூக வலைத்தளங்களில் இரங்கல் தெரிவித்து வருகின்றனர்.
