சினிமாவில் பாப்புலர் ஒளிப்பதிவாளராகவும், இயக்குநராகவும் வலம் வந்தவர் கே.வி.ஆனந்த். ஆரம்பத்தில் பத்திரிகைகளில் புகைப்படக் கலைஞராக வலம் வந்த கே.வி.ஆனந்த், அதன் பிறகு டாப் ஒளிப்பதிவாளர்களில் ஒருவரான பி.சி.ஸ்ரீராமிடம் உதவி ஒளிப்பதிவாளராக சில படங்களில் பணியாற்றினார்.
பின், தமிழில் ‘காதல் தேசம், நேருக்கு நேர், முதல்வன், விரும்புகிறேன், பாய்ஸ், செல்லமே, சிவாஜி’, ஹிந்தியில் ‘காக்கி, நாயக் : தி ரியல் ஹீரோ, ஜோஷ்’ போன்ற படங்களுக்கு ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்தார் கே.வி.ஆனந்த். தமிழ் மற்றும் ஹிந்தி மொழி மட்டுமில்லாமல் மலையாள மொழியிலும் சில படங்களுக்கு இவர் ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்திருந்தது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. டாப் ஒளிப்பதிவாளர்களின் லிஸ்டில் இருந்த கே.வி,ஆனந்த், ‘கனா கண்டேன்’ படத்தை முதன் முதலாக இயக்கி இயக்குநர் அவதாரம் எடுத்தார்.
‘கனா கண்டேன்’ படத்துக்கு பிறகு சூர்யாவை வைத்து ‘அயன், மாற்றான், காப்பான்’, ஜீவாவை வைத்து ‘கோ’, தனுஷை வைத்து ‘அனேகன்’, ‘மக்கள் செல்வன்’ விஜய் சேதுபதியை வைத்து ‘கவண்’ ஆகிய படங்களை இயக்கினார் கே.வி.ஆனந்த். இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து கே.வி.ஆனந்த் அவரது புதிய படத்துக்கான ஸ்க்ரிப்ட் வொர்க்கில் பிஸியாக பணியாற்றி வந்தார். இந்நிலையில், இன்று (ஏப்ரல் 30-ஆம் தேதி) கே.வி.ஆனந்துக்கு திடீரென மாரடைப்பு ஏற்பட்டு இயற்கை எய்தினார். இவரது மறைவுக்கு திரையுலகினர் அனைவரும் சமூக வலைத்தளங்களில் இரங்கல் தெரிவித்து வருகின்றனர்.
